Good heevnin peeps!
Before I show you my make, I would like to explain why I haven't posted for a while. As I mentioned in previous posts, my dad was in hospital. Sadly, he passed away in the early hours of 9th January. Thankfully my mum, sister and I were with him, so he was not alone.
We are going to miss him so much. He was proud of my being a designer for Crafts Beautiful and PaperCrafter; not forgetting the Cosmic Strawberry blog.
So, here I am. I would like to show you a card I've made for my nephew, Tom. He is 17 on the 27th and is going to start learning to drive. No one is safe!!!
What you need...
Patterned paper: Hipster 6 x 6 paper pad; Hipster 12 x 12 collection pack - Basic Grey
Die-cut tab: Hipster die-cut shapes - Basic Grey
Punch: corner rounder
Buttons
Parcel string
Adhesives
What you do...
Cover the lower two thirds of a blank 13cm x 15cm with the scallop paper and round off the top right and lower left corners.
Round the top right corner of a 7.5cm x 11cm panel of aqua paper and adhere to the lower left. Add the 'cool!' panel cut from the 12 x 12 'nifty/hip' sheet along with a 'monday' tab (or what ever day the birthday falls on).
Attach a banner sticker to the top left corner, a length of the arrow sticker across the top of the scallop paper and a bent arrow sticker pointing to the 'cool!' panel.
Wrap frayed string around the bottom of the card, thread through a large brown button to the right and tie in a knot. Thread a small aqua button with frayed string and adhere to the banner sticker.
Ta da! A card perfect for a teenager. You can purchase the sticker sheet separately, but if you buy the collection pack you get it included along with an alphabet sticker sheet.
Hopefully, I will now be able to settle down and start doing some cards. I would also like to start showing you sneak peeks at what I have been doing for the magazines.
Don't forget, you still have just over a week to enter the candy giveaway. Just click on the link in the sidebar for details.
Until next time, my friends...xx
